1. What is Secure Note, and how does it work?
Secure Note allows you to create encrypted notes that can only be viewed once. After the recipient views the note, it is permanently deleted.
2. How secure are my notes and files on Secure Note?
All notes and files are encrypted client-side using AES-GCM 256-bit encryption, making them secure and unreadable even by us.
3. Can I recover a note if I forgot the password or lost the link?
Unfortunately, no. Due to encryption, we cannot recover lost passwords or links.
4. Are there any file size or file type limitations?
Yes, each file must be under 5 MB, and you can upload up to 5 files per note. All file types are supported.
5. How long will my notes remain accessible?
You can choose between "one-time read" (72 hours max) or a custom time up to 7 days.
6. Can Secure Note read or access my encrypted notes?
No. We never have access to your decrypted data. Encryption and decryption happen entirely in your browser.
7. What happens to the note after it is read by the recipient?
The note and its files are permanently deleted immediately after being read.
8. Can I see if my note has been viewed?
No, Secure Note does not provide read receipts to maintain maximum privacy.
9. Does Secure Note store my IP address or personal information?
No, we respect your privacy and do not store your IP address or personal details.
